Ceramic pads, while more expensive, tend to be quieter and produce less unsightly brake dust. Wagner Thermo Quiet is a great option ceramic option without braking the bank.

Organic Brake Pads

Organic brake pads are commonly used by manufacturers as they tend to be the cheapest option in brake pads. They make more brake dust than ceramic brake pads, but less than semi-metallic.

Semi-Metallic Brake Pads

Semi-Metallic brake pads perform well both cold and hot, they average more than organics, yet less than ceramics. However they do create more brake dust that can build up quickly. Bosh QuietCast does a great job minimizing excessive brake noise while being budget friendly.
